Description:

Miyun water resource district is the main source of water to Beijing and is well known for their beautiful waterfront. An old Russian style hotel was planted on this site in the 1960's.

The Challenge:

To provide comprehensive planning for a resort complex.

AE Design Solution:

It was designed to be a magnet for corporate meetings as well as a getaway retreat from urban Beijing. The project included comprehensive planning as well as renovation of the old hotel, designing a new four-star hotel/conference center, resort type rental houses, and a group of recreational buildings along with a new shopping area for tourists.
