The Challenge:

To upgrade GSU, 10 story Urban Life Building in accordance to American Disability Acts and to offer individual solutions for the rest rooms which are bounded within the circular form “columns.

AE Design Solution:

To provide field investigations to identify all the rest rooms floor by floor. Study the existing the building and provide field verifications if needed to know exactly we have to deal with and provide practical solutions specifically for each case. If toilet fixtures are reduced due to the new ADA requirements, we have to check the current building codes and add new rest rooms as required. In addition, coordinate with mechanical engineers for new rest room configuration and tie-in the existing plumbing and ventilation stacks. Finally, devised a workable plan for the stages of the renovations while keep the office and classrooms in function.
