The Challenge:

Northside Hospital needed to establish a state of the art comprehensive cancer center to serve the growing demand for cancer diagnosis and treatment in the Forsyth Region of Atlanta.

AE Design Solution:

The Cancer treatment center at the Forsyth Campus of Northside Hospital is a direct response to the population growth and prosperity of North Georgia. As an extension from the premier cancer center at the Northside main campus, the NSH Forsyth Cancer Center started from ground zero -CON application, master planning, phase I renovation of the existing tenant space and addition of a new linear accelerator vault, the phase II of adding two more linear accelerators and the phase III of addition and renovation for new waiting and other administration and patient support facilities. In addition to providing a premier cancer center treatment with state of art facilities, we have carefully planned for each phase of facility so that the proposed addition would not interfere with the daily operation of the active treatment center. The addition was coordinated in such a way that it would blend in on the overall campus plan as if it was part of the original vision of the campus.
